Toothed Clutches

A toothed clutch is a device that connects two kinematic systems rotating at the same or a slightly different speed, depending on the type of toothing.

Standard toothed clutches allow connection in any position, while other toothed clutches can be provided for connecting a single point or several fixed points (phase).

They can be controlled in the following ways:

    • Hydraulic
    • Pneumatic
    • Electromagnetic

They can operate in the following ways:

    • POSITIVE: the control connects the transmission.
    • NEGATIVE: (with springs pressure) normally closed: the control disconnects the transmission.
