ROTOMEC hydromechanical couplings with hydraulic start-up and centrifugal mechanical lock-up with zero slip at running.
For rater power up to 1500 kW.
The ROTOMEC coupling is a transmission mechanism working with fluids (oil) designed and realized to allow gradual startings in absence of impact, without oversizing the power of the installed motor with a consequent decrease in current input, especially in the starting phase and without residual slippage.
The ROTOMEC coupling is made up of two impellers with opposite frontal hydrofoils, which form the pump-turbine circuit, that is coupled with a centrifugal clutch which allows a residual slippage free condition.
Inside the coupling, in the pumpturbine circuit, there is some suitable oil, used as a transmission means for the first stage of the starting, whereas the second stage is given by the mechanical engagement of the centrifugal blocks with wear and tear free rollers in oil bath.
