Mechanical PTO Clutches Draw In The Crowds
Despite an airspace ban that restricted the number of possible attendees at the BAUMA 2010 Construction Show, an incredible 415,000 visitors still made it to the show in Munich. Industrial Clutch Parts Ltd exhibited Mechanical PTO clutches for the first time and had many interested visitors to it’s booth.

Mike Wallworth, Managing Director of Industrial Clutch Parts said: "With difficult economic conditions and a reduced number of visitors to the show due to the airspace ban, we still had a very success exhibition, although the total number of visitors was down on the last year, the quality of the customers' contacts established was of a high standard, therefore enabling us to extend our customer base for a successful PTO clutch range".

bauma 2010 Exhibition Show

ICP will be exhibiting it’s range of mechanical operation overcentre PTO clutches for SAE flywheel mounting to engines. Also with new free shaft input module and foot mount for maximum installation flexibility in mobile machinery. Applications include rock crushers, recycling machines,grain or granule blowers and dredger pumps among many others.

Furthermore the ICP range of mechanical PTO clutches are fully interchangeable, units and parts with TwinDisc and AP models.
Also on display is one of the ICP 3000/5000 series Hydraulically actuated heavy caliper brakes with braking capacity up to 218kn.

Oil released or oil applied with double or mono caliper arrangement the 3000 series are used primarily on wind turbine applications. Furthermore they are fully interchangeable with Svendborg models.The 3000/5000 series brakes are also used widely in material handling applications such as downhill conveyors.

NEW PRODUCT OUT NOW!
Improve the Initial Braking Performance (friction coefficient) by 15% to 25%.

It is a known in the friction industry, specifically when dealing with brake pads / linings, that the newly installed brake pads need to be bedded in properly before being used in full service.

Green Fade is a term used to describe a condition where the brake lining fails to perform after a series of heavy-duty brake applications soon after installation and where proper bedding-in of the brake linings has been ignored. Another way to describe green fade would be to state that in the event of a rapid rise in braking temperature a rapid decrease of breaking force (friction) is experienced.

The use of SG 62 allows friction material to bed in immediately and does away with expensive & time consuming scorching process. SG62 will improve the initial braking performance (friction coefficient) by 15% to 25%.

The WCB336DA is a dual function water cooled brake aimed at Winch applications. Air Applied on the one hand for controlled torque useful for controlled payout of ropes. On the other hand Air Released, Spring Applied for emergency stop or holding duties. WPT WCB brakes also have very high thermal capability required for these demanding applications.

Steel Uncoiler Application Example

This application is of a steel uncoiler, using a 208 LI clutch to position the roll and a 118 Copper Cooled Brake stops the roll for the cut. The Customer had a problem with the original clutch, as the metal sheets were overlapping.

Industrial Clutch Parts Ltd retrofitted a W08-OA-200 onto a sprocket with bearing and locking plate, reworked shaft and replaced the center water jacket inside the existing 118 Copper Cooled Brake.

Industrial Clutch Parts are proud sponsors of the Wembly Wonders!

Congratulations to Queensqate School on winning the FA Community Cup.

The eight-strong year six football team from Queensgate primary school in Bramhall did Stockport proud on Saturday at the fabulous new Wembley Stadium.

Representing Stockport County, Queensgate won the Football League Under-11s Community Cup final in front of around 20,000 fans at Wembley after beating their Milton Keynes counterparts 3-1.

Having battled through numerous qualifying rounds to reach the Wembley final, Queensgate went 1-0 down early in Saturday’s game against Stanhope School, but they fought back superbly to secure a victory that none of the boys will ever forget.

The match took place an hour before the League Two play-off final between Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury Town, which in the end was watched by a bumper crowd of 61,000.

It was a dream day out for Queensgate though, and their coach Paul Hardy.

Stockport County’s Football in the Community boss Mike Smith escorted the Queensgate party to Wembley. He told us: "What a fantastic day everyone had, and for the boys to go on and win the cup was just a brilliant achievement.

"It was a memorable performance, and one that all the boys will remember for the rest of their lives."

Along the way to their cup final, Queensgate beat teams representing Bury, Wrexham, Macclesfield Town, Rochdale, Notts County, Grimsby Town, Lincoln City, Darlington and Hartlepool United.

"At bauma on 23 - 29 April 2007 in Munich, even more international companies for construction, building materials and mining are expected to exhibit their current product innovations as well as the latest trends in technologies and services in the exhibition area. The halls are already fully booked, the demand for the open air space is enormous and the waiting list is still long. Due to so much interest the bauma exhibition space increased by 30.000 sqm to over 530.000 sqm compared to 2004. Therefore it is expected that bauma 2007 will surpasses the last bauma by far.

The Chinese exhibitors want to present themselves nearly five times as large as at the last edition of bauma. India asked for more than four times more space, Japan even five times more. Exhibitors from Austria, Luxemburg, Turkey, Korea and Greece doubled their demand. Companies from countries like Bulgaria and Singapore want to exhibit at bauma 2007 for the first time.

This shows that bauma is the most important trade fair for construction machinery and equipment, building materials machinery and mining technology in the world. It underlines its leading position as meeting place for all key player".
