PNEUMATIC DRUM CLUTCHES

There are many applications for these clutch configurations from Marine, Cement Processing and Mining to Oil, Gas and Water-Well Drilling and general industries such as Metal Working, Pulp/Paper and Construction. All configurations are 100% interchangeable with all major clutch brands.

Two basic types of drum clutch construction. The integral Rim/Tube construction of the FK, FKE, FKT & FKR consists of an airtube vulcanised to the clutch rim, providing a coupling effect during the transmission of torque. Allows for some mis-alignment in the drive system.

Independent airtube construction of FKT type means that the airtube does not transmit any torque. Power is delivered through the rim and side plates by torque bars.

FM (CM)

FM clutch, designed primarily for marine applications. In addition to the benefits of integral rim/tube construction, the marine clutch utilises ventilated friction shoes. Allowing for controlled slippage to enhance forward and reverse manouverability. Rim registration provides for dual and triple element assemblies.

FKT (VC)

FKT range is principally for high torque/high thermal capacity applications. The FKT offers the versatility of the FK while providing high heat dissipation through ventilated friction shoes.In addition,every component is replaceable, including the actuator tube.

Water Cooled Brakes

WCB brakes are specifically designed for applications in which large thermal loads must be dissipated. WCB Brakes are recommended for Mooring Winches or Anchor handling.
